Cultivating Arts and Culture, Expanding the Horizons with Heart
In 2024, M31 organized the “Donate Good Books, Share Love” event, joining forces with all our colleagues to collect second-hand books and deliver knowledge and care to students in rural areas. This event not only demonstrated our commitment to educational philanthropy, but also, by participating in initiatives related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), infused profound meaning into rural education and opened a door of hope for reading.
With the heartfelt support of our colleagues, we collected a total of 57 early childhood books, 101 children’s books, and 49 young adult books. Through the Eslite Foundation’s “Reading Sharing Program,” the collected children’s and young adult books were donated to rural areas, while M31 volunteers personally delivered the early childhood books to Fang-Chi Kindergarten, enriching the extracurricular reading resources for the children. What is even more special is that a child from the Syin-Lu Social Welfare Foundation (Syin-Lu), supported by M31, published an adorable, hand-drawn picture book this year. We shared this work—brimming with love and childlike charm—with the children at Fang-Chi Kindergarten, using the picture book as a means to spread love and create even greater warmth.
At the same time, M31 also participated in the Eslite Foundation’s “SDGs Book Donation Program” by purchasing 176 carefully selected children’s books on relevant topics. The Eslite Foundation then donated these books to five under-resourced rural schools, including Lunshan and Tafalong Elementary School in Hualien County, Sin Yuan and Wen Tzu Elementary School in Pingtung County, Shin Cheng Elementary School in Taichung City. Through these books, children are helped to understand the challenges facing the world, develop the ability to explore problems and devise solutions, and further promote the development of sustainable education in rural areas.
M31 has always been committed to integrating corporate social responsibility into tangible actions. The “Donate Good Books, Share Love” event not only brings the power of knowledge to rural students but also provides robust support for sustainable education.
