Caring for the Underprivileged: Supporting Growth with Love
In this heartwarming season, the “M31 Love-Filled Christmas” has added endless warmth to winter. Through a series of loving and joyful activities, every participant experienced a festive atmosphere that touched the heart, adorning M31’s winter season with abundant love and warmth.
The event kicked off with “Christmas Wish Gift Sponsorship.” As in previous years, our colleagues enthusiastically participated, carefully preparing Christmas gifts for the Synin-Lu Social Welfare Foundation (Syin-Lu) children. This year, the sponsorship expanded to include early intervention children in rural areas, giving more kids the chance to receive a holiday surprise. At the same time, M31 specially prepared Christmas gifts for the children at Fang-Chi Kindergarten, lighting up their Christmas dreams with thoughtfully chosen presents.
On Christmas Day, the event’s atmosphere reached its peak. The Syin-Lu charity sale booth attracted numerous colleagues who eagerly made purchases, with all proceeds supporting the foundation’s beneficiaries—each purchase a continuation of love. Later, children from Fang-Chi Kindergarten donned special traditional ethnic costumes to present an innocent, heartfelt concert. Their performance, brimming with the warmth and power of youth, deeply touched everyone in attendance. The collaboration between M31’s Emmanuel Community members and the children from Fang-Chi Kindergarten further elevated the concert, as they united in a chorus of “Listen to Me, Thank You,” expressing boundless love and gratitude and enveloping the entire audience in a moving, heartfelt atmosphere.
On that day, a teacher from Fang-Chi Kindergarten shared an unforgettable story: Because the children live in rural areas and have few opportunities to travel, when they arrived at M31, one child innocently asked, “Is this Taipei 101?” This simple question brought a smile and revealed the children’s yearning for the outside world and their inherent innocence. The teacher expressed gratitude to M31 for providing them with the opportunity to perform and step out of their hometown to see a larger world. At the same time, M31 is deeply thankful to these children, whose heartfelt and touching performance injected a warm and profound strength into everyone present.
The Christmas season has come to an end, but love and joy remain deeply etched in everyone’s hearts. This winter, M31 not only lit up its own Christmas but also ignited a spark of light in the hearts of others. Let us look forward to our next warm gathering, continuing the tradition of love.
